Some have told me they thought Native people were gone, wiped out from initial contact and the consequences that followed. But how,  when not only I exist but also my native relatives? I devoted this project to the ones who remind me we are still here, as we will be forever; and we can exist in whatever spaces we hold.

INDIGENOUS
BOWL

An event catered to native football players. An opportunity for high school senior athletes to connect with others from various tribes across the nation. A collection of images of participants, hosts, and bystanders.

DAY IN MY LIFE

Shot on 35mm film, Canon AE-1.

For this project, I followed two of my closest friends. People who I perceive to live some of the most fun and adventurous lives. Both are full of spiritual growth, movement, and friends. But, when you spend an entire day with someone, you come to find that sometimes people just have days full of nothing.  One person spends her day away from her phone, trying to find peace from within. The other is constantly on the phone, whether working out or contacting distant friends.  Generally, this project navigates several questions:  Where do I devote my energy? How do I spend my day? How do I affect the world and how does the world affect me?
